Collaborating with Discommon on the Iron Mando Helmet was an incredibly unique and creative experience. This project combined elements from Iron Man and The Mandalorian, resulting in a stunning porcelain sculpture. I contributed by hand-illustrating intricate patterns that seamlessly blend the aesthetics of both universes. The Art of Storytelling Through Pattern
Designing for the Iron Mando Helmet wasn’t just about decoration—it was about weaving two legendary universes into a single, cohesive piece. The challenge was to create intricate patterns that felt natural on the helmet’s surface while subtly telling a story. Every line and detail was intentionally placed.
Beyond aesthetics, the design is filled with hidden nods and layered symbolism, rewarding those who take a closer look. Tucked within the patterns, you’ll find a mini Iron Man helmet, references to Stark’s Arc Reactor, and iconic Star Wars details like the Death Star and an X-Wing. These elements serve as a bridge between two worlds, seamlessly integrated into the hand-drawn artwork. Seeing this project gain recognition has been incredibly rewarding—it’s not often that illustration, sculpture, and industrial design come together in such an unexpected way.
